This mod was really just made as a modder’s resource. It’s not really a skin, since I didn’t really do anything. What’s the deal, you ask? Jedi Outcast made extensive use of *.surf files to ‘surf’ meshes on — called surfaces (surf… surface… get it?). Jedi Academy did away with this… mostly. The only way to get the Rodian model’s vest off in multiplayer without having a huge hole was to use a *.surf file to convince the engine to put it back on. Fanangle the *.skin files all you want — you need the *.surf. This mod does the simple but mostly unknown dirty work, allowing any other astute modders to grab this *.surf file for use in their own mods. And yes, go ahead. I’m not going to get upset that you stole my 2-line *.surf file. I promise.

Dump this is your gamedata/base directory within your Jedi Academy directory if you want this to overwrite your Rodian.

DESCRIPTION

This replaces the default Rodian model in multiplayer with a version with no vest (without having the big gaping hole in his back, for those of you who have tried this). It makes use of a .SURF file to surf the back mesh back on to avoid this error. This is *really* more of a modder's resource than a skin, but you can naturally use it as a skin if you want. You may want to change the pathways and such so it doesn't *actually* overwrite the rodian, unless you don't care...

This should help people who've wanted to make skins of the Rodian model without having the vest on it. Feel free to use the SURF file for your own Rodian reskins. 
It should work with any Rodian reskin, as there are no pathways to change. You should be able to just copy-paste it into your skin's folder. Just make sure to assign a texture to the torso_augment_off surface if there isn't one already assigned.
