Since 1977 Star Wars fans have been in love with Wookiees. Not literally of course, because that would be weird, but who wasn’t intensely fond of Chewbacca? With the expanded universe fans came to understand the deep traditions and culture of the Wookiee species. For instance Wookiee warriors carried ryyk blades. This mod allows you to find a ryyk blade for Zaalbar, one of your party companions, and his brother Chuundar will also carry one.
The design for the ryyk blade comes right out of the New Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology which I have floating around here somewhere. There are two ryyk blade designs, as you can see. Given how one of them clearly would not work well with the combat designs of the game, and the more commonly-known design is compatible, I went with the more traditional ryyk blade.
I have included two versions of the blade: one that is plain, and another with a gold embossment down the middle. I have also placed these two blades in-game for you to find (details on locations are in the read-me). Also both weapons are upgradable, hopefully making them a more permanent addition to your game in what, for most, becomes a very lightsaber-driven experience.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

The TSL patcher has been used. The patcher has also been fixed so there should hopefully be no problems and no by-hand modifications needed.
Extract the contents of the ZIP file and run Ryyk_Installer.exe and the follow the instructions provided.

DESCRIPTION

Wookiee culture relies very much on traditional values. The construction of the ryyk blade is one of those traditions. The blade is made by hand by each Wookiee warrior as a symbol of themselves. This mod makes two of these blades available in the game: one for Zaalbar, which can be found in the chest with his bowcaster in the Taris undercity sewers, and Chuundar's, which you can loot from his corpse if you kill him.

I think I fixed all the bugs with the installer, so those of you who've been sad for, what, a year because the installer didn't work right can now breathe a sigh of relief!
